Uniswap rolls out Optimism second-layer scaling solution

The leading decentralised exchange Uniswap launched the alpha version of its platform on the Optimistic Ethereum (OΞ) mainnet, offering fast and cheap transactions.

According to developers, OΞ transactions are confirmed instantly — “no more waiting and stuck swaps!”

Representatives of Uniswap emphasised that with this second-layer solution one can achieve tenfold savings on transaction costs.

“Early adopters may face higher fees due to constraints while the OΞ network is still undergoing live testing. In the coming weeks and months, transaction throughput will increase, which over time should significantly reduce gas costs.”

To migrate assets, developers urged users to use the Optimism Gateway tool, attaching a step-by-step guide to the tweet.

Uniswap remains the largest gas user on the Ethereum network.

In May, the launch of Uniswap v3 took place.
