The Uniswap team has rolled out the third version of its protocol on the BNB Chain network.

“Like Polygon and Arbitrum, BNB Chain typically offers faster and cheaper transactions than Ethereum, which broadens access to Uniswap,” the statement said.
In February 2023, the Uniswap community approved the Plasma Labs proposal regarding the launch of the protocol’s third version on the BNB Chain blockchain. It was supported by more than 65% of voters, while 33.57% voted against.
Among the latest participants was venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), which used all 15 million of its available tokens for this.
As a cross‑chain bridge linking Ethereum and BNB Chain, the community chose the Wormhole app. The runner-up was LayerZero, into which a16z invested in March 2022.
Earlier, Li Finance founder and CEO Philipp Zentner criticised Uniswap’s decision to launch the protocol on BNB Chain using only a single cross‑chain bridge.
