Unstoppable Domains has integrated .eth domain names supplied by the Ethereum Name Service (ENS).
Previously, both organisations were considered the main rivals in this space. According to Cointelegraph, at the beginning of 2023 Unstoppable Domains and ENS together accounted for about 6 million domain registrations.
Thanks to the integration, users will be able to purchase ENS names and manage existing ones in a streamlined fashion.
From now on, all .eth domains purchased from Unstoppable will be automatically registered on the blockchain. Previously, the setup required direct interaction with ENS smart contracts.
Purchasing a domain via the marketplace no longer requires linking to an Ethereum wallet. The data are stored in the secure storage facility Unstoppable Vault.
ENS users can take advantage of an automatic renewal mechanism through Unstoppable without needing to use the network directly.
The platform also supports a number of Web3-domains, including .nft, .crypto, .wallet, .dao, .bitcoin, .BinanceUS and .blockchain.
Purchases can be made in several ways: with Bitcoin and 12 other cryptocurrencies, or via traditional payment services, including bank cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
In March, Unstoppable Domains launched a service for the Polygon network. New user addresses end with .polygon.
Earlier in June, ENS developers announced support by the Web Domain Service for .box domains, which will be routed through DNS for Web 2.0 browsers.
