US Salvation Army Begins Accepting Bitcoin Donations

The Salvation Army headquarters in the western United States began accepting donations in Bitcoin and Ethereum through the cryptocurrency platform Engiven. is stated in a press release.

Donations of digital assets are accepted nationwide. If a mailing address is provided for the donation, the funds will be directed to local programs.

“I believe the crypto community can make a significant contribution to the Salvation Army’s efforts,” said Kyle Smith, the organization’s spokesman.

The Engiven platform provides cryptocurrency-donation management services to nonprofit organisations.

The Salvation Army is an international charitable organisation. The US division helps more than 23 million people facing hardship each year.

In March 2020, the Human Rights Foundation began accepting bitcoin donations via BTC Pay Server.
