Vitalik Buterin Profits $103,000 from NEIRO Meme Coin Sale
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin offloaded 17 billion Neiro tokens, which were airdropped to him by the project’s developers. Despite a 60% plunge, the meme coin not only recovered its losses but also reached its ATH.

Buterin’s wallet received 4% of NEIRO’s supply, valued at $130,000. Without prior notice, he became the largest holder of the asset.
We are the people’s $Neiro, on the people’s chain, @ethereum.
And a little fun fact: @VitalikButerin is currently our largest holder. (4% of supply, ~$130k value as of the time of this post)

The Ethereum co-founder sold 17.1 billion NEIRO for 44.5 ETH, approximately $103,000 at the time.

In response, the project team urged Buterin to donate part of the proceeds to a shelter for stray dogs.
Hey @VitalikButerin, we see that you sold your $Neiro bag.
Our humble ask is that you donate part of the proceeds to a stray dog shelter.
And thank you for building our playground!

CoinGecko lists four different NEIRO tokens, Uniswap has at least six variants, and X features even more potentially fraudulent accounts associated with Neiro, according to Cointelegraph. On July 29, a Solana-based version developer profited $2.85 million from a rug pull, the publication noted.
In other news, lending platform Aave earned $6 million in a single day from liquidations due to the cryptocurrency market downturn.
