Voyager Digital sent $27.7 million in cryptocurrency to Coinbase

On March 15, the bankrupt crypto broker Voyager Digital sent $27.7 million in cryptocurrency to Coinbase.

According to analytics firm PeckShield, from the company’s addresses were sent 270B SHIB (~$3 million), 7,000 ETH (~$19 million), 12 million native Voyager tokens (~$4 million).

In February, Lookonchain analysts recorded a sale of assets by the broker worth about $56 million. By month-end, Voyager’s reserves included cryptocurrency totaling $631 million, including 6.5 trillion SHIB worth $81 million.

On July 5, 2022, the company filed for bankruptcy in a New York court. The broker’s liabilities were estimated at between $1 billion and $10 billion.

In December, the crypto exchange Binance.US offered the highest price for Voyager’s assets — $1.02 billion.

However, regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York State Department of Financial Services, opposed the deal.

This month, authorities ordered the suspension of the asset buyback until all legal objections have been reviewed and resolved.
