Wirex launches cryptocurrency Mastercard debit card
The payments-processing firm Wirex has launched a multicurrency Mastercard card supporting digital assets in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

According to the press release, the card supports eight digital currencies and ten fiat currencies. Users can instantly convert assets, exchange fiat for free, and withdraw cash at ATMs around the world.
The company promises minimal or zero fees for purchasing digital assets. Available in 31 countries, the card has no maintenance fee and offers the X-tras rewards program.
In February, Mastercard promised to implement direct support for cryptocurrencies by the end of 2021. Earlier, similar plans in Visa’s digital assets strategy were outlined.
