From wallets holding the Bitcoin stolen four years ago from Bitfinex, a large batch of funds has again been moved. In the past week, the total volume of withdrawn coins exceeded 4571 BTC (~$51.5 million).
On August 3, Whale Alert заметил four transactions totaling 620 BTC (~$7 million at the time of writing). The bitcoins were moved to previously unknown addresses.
On July 29 the attackers переместили 448 BTC (~$5 million) in a single transaction. A few days earlier, from wallets провели 12 transactions totaling 3503 BTC (~$39.5 million). This sequence of transfers was among the largest since the exchange was hacked.
Earlier, funds linked to the hack перемещались on July 24, when the attackers transferred 260.71 BTC and 271.2 BTC. Even earlier, the hackers carried out 20 transactions ranging from 15 to 33 BTC for a total of more than $4 million.
On May 22, from another wallet where the marked bitcoins are kept, 28.39124 BTC ($258,000) were withdrawn. On June 2, from the address where another portion of the stolen funds was stored, another 77.644901 BTC (nearly $800,000) was transferred.
The Bitfinex hack occurred on August 2, 2016. In total, the attackers stole 119,756 BTC ($71.8 million at the time).
