WLFI Market Capitalisation Reaches $8.3 Billion Following Exchange Listing

On September 1, major exchanges Binance, Upbit, and Gate began trading the WLFI token from the DeFi project Trump family’s World Liberty Financial. The initial price was set at $0.30.

The asset’s market capitalisation exceeded $8.3 billion. By the time of writing, the price had adjusted to $0.25.

Prior to the listing on trading platforms, the World Liberty Financial team announced that initially 24.67 billion WLFI would be in circulation. Ten billion are allocated to the ecosystem. The remaining assets will be distributed as follows:

The majority of WLFI tokens will remain locked. These assets are intended for the treasury (19.9 billion), the team (33.5 billion), public sale (16 billion), and strategic partners (5.8 billion). The vesting period is currently unknown.

The FDV of World Liberty Financial’s coin reached $28.5 billion.

“Not Just a Meme Coin”

Donald Trump Jr. commented on the launch of WLFI, describing the coin as “not just a meme coin, but the governance backbone of a real ecosystem changing how money moves.”

“Freedom, finance, and America first. Home team,” he wrote.

Eric Trump called the event “a pivotal moment for the future of finance.” According to him, WLFI “sets a new standard of freedom based on trust, speed, and American values.”

Analysts at Lookonchain noted a trader who earned $263,866 in less than 10 minutes following the launch of the World Liberty Financial token.

Back in June, the Trump family’s DeFi project conducted a distribution of the USD1 stablecoin among WLFI holders.
