Xai Foundation to Launch L3 Protocol on Arbitrum
The Xai project, focused on gaming applications, will launch an L3 blockchain built on the Arbitrum layer-2 network to scale Ethereum.
Introducing Xai: The Next Evolution in Blockchain Gaming

The Arbitrum development company backs the team.
“Offchain Labs’ involvement as a service provider guarantees that Xai is built on a solid foundation of scalability, security and user-friendliness,” the Xai Foundation said.
The project is aimed at the Axie Infinity, which uses the Ronin sidechain. In building a gaming ecosystem, the team drew inspiration from the success of Immutable X and Gala Games.
“At the core of the roadmap lies a comprehensive decentralization plan. The ecosystem includes a foundation, decentralized autonomous organization and validators,” the developers clarified.
They also unveiled the Xai token. The asset is intended for multi-purpose use within the network, including paying for gas, rewarding validators, and incentivizing users.
The team is developing the solution with account abstraction in mind, which will simplify interactions with accounts and wallets.
According to the Xai Foundation, the L3 protocol provides scalability at the Ethereum security level and targets developers of Web3-games.
As reported, the decentralized data-indexing protocol The Graph has moved to the final stage of migrating from the Ethereum blockchain to Arbitrum in order to reduce transaction costs.
