The NFT marketplace Zora Labs closed a funding round with participation from five investors. This is stated in documents, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The NFT marketplace said it raised $8m from a sale of shares. The investors’ names were not disclosed.
In October 2020, Zora raised $2m in a seed round from Coinbase Ventures, Trevor McFedris of the Brud startup, and a number of other investors.
Earlier, the NFT-focused social media platform Nifty’s, aimed at NFT collectors and creators, closed a funding round with participation from billionaire Mark Cuban, Draper Dragon, Polychain, Tally Capital, Liberty City Ventures, and Future Positive.
Earlier, the NFT marketplace SuperRare raised $9m to expand the team, develop a mobile app, and explore display technology for showcasing non-fungible tokens.
