Against the backdrop of the publication, the market capitalisation of the NFT project Seven Treasures, listed on LiveArtX, fell 53% in 24 hours, according to NFTGo. The floor price of the collection’s tokens dropped 83% in 24 hours, to 0.2 ETH.

Meanwhile, trading volume for Seven Treasures surged 612%, indicating a mass sell-off of the project’s non-fungible tokens.

Earlier, artist Mike Winkelmann (Beeple) reported a hack of a URL to his official Discord server. When clicked, users were redirected to a fraudulent channel.

As Elliptic analysts note, over the 12 months from July 2021, criminals stole NFTs worth more than $100 million as a result of fraud.
