
NFT crystals from Snark.art platform fetch over $4 million
The Snark.art platform sold out in three days the NFT collection Organic Growth: Crystal Reef by artists Michael Ju and Danila Krivoruchko, earning more than $4 million. ForkLog сообщили авторы проекта.
According to the collection’s creators, the final appearance of each crystal depends on the history of owners’ cryptocurrency accounts and can be acquired only after seven transactions or two months after the first purchase.
The starting price of Organic Growth: Crystal Reef on the project’s official site was 0.10301 ETH (approximately $350) per unit. Secondary sales will be available on the OpenSea platform.
Two months after the start of sales, all the crystals will be combined into a single artwork in the form of a crystalline reef.
3% of the proceeds from sales of Organic Growth: Crystal Reef will be directed by the creators to research in marine ecology and conservation biology, overseen by лаборатория Дженнифер Смит, professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California in Colombia.
80% of the proceeds will go to funding ongoing research at the laboratory and monitoring changes in coral reefs caused by waves and global warming.
20% of the proceeds will be spent on publishing research about new species of marine invertebrates.
