NFT presented to the Russian prime minister

Participants at the Transport Russia exhibition presented Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with the first digital NFT waybill, recorded on a physical medium. This was reported by ТАСС.

According to industry representatives, since September 1 citizens have been able to issue the waybill, the accompanying document, and other transport documents electronically. In the longer term, this could remove more than 3 billion sheets of paper from the market, they added.

Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Bakanov noted that moving all documents to a digital format will remove barriers to electronic data exchange between business entities and regulatory and supervisory authorities.

In May, the State Duma of the Russian Federation registered bill to amend the Civil Code, enshrining the concept of a non-fungible token.
