Nike and the RTFKT studio unveiled the first collection of non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. The digital sneakers are inspired by the Nike Dunk silhouette.
In February 2022, among holders of tokens from the CloneX project and other RTFKT collections, the MNLTH air drop — NFT in Mystery Box format — was conducted. After a few months, holders of the latter were allowed to open their “boxes”.
Users reported that inside the Mystery Box there was a pair of RTFKT x Nike Dunk Genesis CRYPTOKICKS, required to modify the NFT item Skin Vial, and another MNLTH.

Some owners of the new NFTs have already listed the tokens on the OpenSea marketplace — the price of the digital sneakers starts at 3.25 ETH (~$9,600).
In December 2021, Nike acquired the NFT-studio RTFKT, which specialized in creating collectible items for the metaverses. The parties did not disclose the terms of the deal.
In February 2022, Nike filed a lawsuit against online retailer StockX for the unauthorized sale of sneaker images as NFTs.
