The total number of Bitcoin ATMs reached 10,018 units, installed in 71 countries, according to Coin ATM Radar data.

The Norwegian financial blog AksjeBloggen noted a brisk growth of the crypto ATM fleet this year. By the start of September they were 67% higher than a year earlier. From January to September 2020 alone, providers installed 3,885 new crypto ATMs.

The overwhelming majority of devices operate in North America. Nearly 79% of the total Bitcoin ATM fleet, or 7,889 units, are installed in the United States. Canada (874) and the United Kingdom (280) follow at some distance.
In the United States, the number of BTC ATMs has grown by 127% since last September, according to AksjeBloggen.
The leading manufacturers are Genesis Coin and General Bytes — accounting for 3,542 and 2,970 installed crypto ATMs respectively.
In September, Germany’s regulator introduced licensing for Bitcoin-ATM providers. The number of devices installed in the country has already begun to decline.
