Payment processing for Nuvei will be handled by its fintech arm Simplex.
In September, Simplex signed a partnership with COTI, a platform focused on the corporate sector. The latter launched crypto-friendly bank accounts and Visa debit cards.
“Thanks to the partnership with Nuvei, merchants of the financial blockchain network COTI will benefit from broader adoption thanks to the ability to accept cryptocurrency as a payment option,” the statement said.
Nuvei representatives pledged to expand the list of supported cryptocurrencies to 40 in the spring.
In May, Nuvei acquired an Israeli crypto-processing firm for $250 million.
