Nvidia CEO Predicts AI Mastery of Exams Within Five Years
In the next five years, artificial intelligence is expected to reach a new level, capable of passing any exam or medical test. This was stated by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at an economic forum at Stanford University.
Responding to students’ questions, he suggested the emergence of computers that can think and act like humans, such as taking tests or passing exams. According to the top manager, this could be possible by 2029.
“If you make a list of tasks and articulate them, I believe that in five years we will handle each one,” stated the Nvidia CEO.
Currently, artificial intelligence can pass law exams but still struggles with medical tests.
Huang acknowledged that AGI is still a long way off, as scientists are still studying how the human brain actually works. In his view, developers find it difficult to reach this level because specific goals have not been defined.
The discussion also covered the necessary number of chip manufacturing plants for the development of the AI industry. Huang expressed the opinion that the answer will depend on the performance of the processors themselves.
“We will need more factories than we have now. However, remember that we significantly improve model algorithms each year,” concluded the Nvidia CEO.
In February, Huang stated that AI will render programming skills obsolete.
