An enthusiast tested a farm of eight GPUs released by an AIB-partner of Nvidia, ASUSTeK Computer. The maximum hash rate of a single device for Ethereum mining stood at 43.77 MH/s, versus the manufacturer’s claimed 36 MH/s.

The CMP 40HX is based on a trimmed-down Nvidia TU106-100 GPU. The device is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. The nominal TDP is 185 W.
To achieve higher performance, the tester optimized power consumption of the GPUs and adjusted memory clock frequencies.
According to the source, the Nvidia CMP 40HX chip will cost miners $699. Shipments of the device were initially planned for March, but it is still in the testing phase.

NVIDIA released a line of CMP (Cryptocurrency Mining Processor) chips to meet miners’ demand for GPUs.
The first photos of the younger model from the Gigabyte CMP 30HX were published in March. Its Ethereum mining hash rate is 26 MH/s.
