Nvidia to cap hash rate on GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs

Nvidia will significantly restrict the mining use of GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs, whose release is scheduled for February 25. This is reported in in the company’s blog.

“The RTX 3060 software drivers are designed to detect specific attributes of the Ethereum mining algorithm and restrict the hash rate by roughly 50%, on which mining efficiency depends,” Nvidia representatives said.
