Odessa Resident Loses $32,000 in Binance Scam

An Odessa resident has reported to the police a case of fraud involving an attempt to purchase cryptocurrency. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Dumskaya”, citing sources within the agency.

According to the victim, he found a link on Telegram to a smart contract for purchasing the cryptocurrency Lifeform (LFT) via the Binance exchange. 

Upon following the link, the Odessa resident made three transactions through a Web3 wallet totaling $32,000.

Customer support stated that the link the user followed was fraudulent.

The case is being considered for entry into Ukraine’s Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.

Previously, a defrauded bitcoin investor from Poltava sought compensation from the state budget.
