OKX and Bybit remove sanctioned Russian banks from P2P platforms

Russian users of OKX’s P2P service noticed that banks «Сбер», «Альфа» and «Тинькофф» стали недоступны as payment options.

Russian users looking to buy or sell cryptocurrency for rubles can currently use bank transfers, cards from Post Bank, PSB, Raiffeisen Bank, Russian Standard Bank, UniCredit, as well as the Fast Payment System (SBP).

In addition, Payeer, Paysera, Revolut, Skrill, WebMoney, Wise, Qiwi, YooMoney and others are available.

Users of the Bybit exchange also reported the disappearance of Sber and Tinkoff. Although in the dropdown list of payment methods these banks remain, trades using them are not conducted.

According to the Telegram channel Satoshkin, traders use Russian Standard Bank for Sber, and for Tinkoff the bank is not clearly defined — it is either Post Bank or Raiffeisen.

The platform operators have not commented on the situation yet.

Earlier Binance banned Russian citizens from conducting operations through its P2P platform with any currencies other than the ruble.

Later the platform clarified that outside-Russia residents also have access to other currencies, excluding RUB, EUR, USD and UAH.
