OKX Expands Support for Ordinals Equivalents Across Four Networks

OKX exchange will extend support to inscription standards Atomicals (ARC-20), Stamps (SRC-20), Runes, and Doginals (DRC-20).

“We view inscriptions as a powerful innovation that opens up new ways for creators and collectors to create and own truly immutable and dynamic items,” said OKX’s Chief Innovation Officer, Jason Lau.

According to the press release, the exchange’s inscription creation tool supports 23 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche-C, Arbitrum One, and others.

The aforementioned standards will soon be added to the platform’s Web3 wallet, with DRC-20, ARC-20, and Runes appearing on the marketplace.

The company believes that the integration will make OKX the largest trading platform for inscriptions with zero fees.

In a comment to The Block, Lau confirmed that inscriptions have “truly resonated with many Asian users” of the exchange. The sector has been rapidly expanding, prompting OKX to delve into it, the manager added.

“We are witnessing an explosion of new activity, and the market and client base continue to grow… when we launched our product, it was used by hundreds of people, and now it’s over 100,000,” said Lau.

Regarding the choice for the new integration of Atomicals, Stamps, Runes, and Doginals, he noted that “these protocols are launching and gaining momentum.”

In December, following the launch of an Ordinals equivalent, the monthly transaction volume in the L2 network zkSync Era surpassed that of Ethereum.
