On-Chain Analysts Link YZY Token to LIBRA as ‘Rapper’s’ Coin Plummets 60%
Rapper Ye launched a meme token that fell 60% within hours.
On August 21, rapper Ye (Kanye West) launched his own meme token YZY MONEY (YZY). Within three hours of trading, the asset had plummeted by 60%.

At its peak, the token’s FDV exceeded $3 billion, but at the time of writing, it had decreased to $1 billion.
YZY is launched on the Solana blockchain. The total supply is 1 billion tokens with a circulating supply of 300 million.
Additionally, the YZY Money ecosystem has been introduced, including Ye Pay and YZY Card—a payment system and a bank card. They are intended for use by third-party merchants for payment acceptance. The card supports payments in YZY and the stablecoin USDC.
The YZY Card can already be used to purchase goods on the rapper’s website.
“In the coming days, we will begin implementing features for YZY users. We are creating very innovative projects in the short term that will become even more effective in the long term,” states the coin’s page on X.
In February, rumors had already surfaced about a token launch by Ye. At that time, posts about the coin appeared on the musician’s page but quickly disappeared. The rapper himself denied any involvement in the situation.
Questionable Connections
On-chain analyst known as Dethective highlighted sniper activity. He noted that one wallet managed to buy $250,000 worth of YZY at approximately $0.2 and earned about $1 million in profit after selling eight minutes later.

It secured about $1M profit, which was then sent to a treasury wallet.
The same wallet also received ~$20M from another lucky sniper who only traded one coin: $LIBRA

Moreover, the ‘sniper’ address is linked to the LIBRA token. In both cases, the coins purchased at launch were sent to the same storage wallet.
In total, affiliated addresses earned $23 million from LIBRA and YZY.
“We do not know if the user is Hayden Davis. But we can be sure that this person has clear insider information. The proof is that he did not snipe any coins other than YZY and LIBRA,” noted Dethective.
Back in June, Argentina’s Anti-Corruption Office cleared President Javier Milei of ethics violation charges related to promoting LIBRA.
