OpenAI Expands ChatGPT’s Contextual Capabilities with Team Version

OpenAI has introduced a new subscription plan for its ChatGPT chatbot, named Team, featuring a 32KB context window and customizable GPT plugins.

ChatGPT Team is priced at $25-30 per month, slightly more than the Plus version. The subscription offers a workspace for multiple employees with increased request limits for tools like DALL-E 3, GPT-4 with Vision, Browsing, and Advanced Data.

The chatbot also includes an admin console for managing the team and workflow.

According to the announcement, OpenAI ensures “business-grade data privacy and security.”

“We do not train on your corporate information or conversations, and our models do not learn from your interactions with them,” the company assured.

Additionally, OpenAI has added a plugin feature to Team — GPTs. This allows users to create custom extensions for the neural network with various functionalities and share them with others.

The project also announced the GPTs Store marketplace, where extensions for the chatbot are available. Developers of such applications can earn from their sales.

“Integrating AI into everyday organizational workflows can enhance your team’s productivity. In a recent Harvard Business School study, Boston Consulting Group employees with access to GPT-4 reported completing tasks 25% faster and achieving 40% higher quality in work compared to others,” OpenAI stated.

Earlier, company head Sam Altman conducted a presentation detailing upcoming ChatGPT updates and new tools for developers. Notably, he introduced turbo versions of the chatbot with an expanded context window of 128,000 tokens.

Back in September 2023, developers released a major update for ChatGPT, enabling the chatbot to “see, hear, and speak” for the first time.
