OpenAI’s Revenue Doubles to $3.4 Billion
OpenAI’s annualized revenue has doubled to $3.4 billion, according to the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, as reported.
This figure represents the income from the previous month, multiplied by 12. At the end of 2023, it stood at $1.6 billion, and last summer it was approximately $1 billion.
The majority of OpenAI’s revenue—around $3.2 billion—comes from the company’s products and services. The remaining $200 million is expected to be earned from access to artificial intelligence models through Microsoft Azure.
In recent months, OpenAI has been increasing its income from AI products by selling services to corporate clients. Previously, Apple announced a partnership with the startup to integrate ChatGPT into Siri, iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
In May, Reddit announced a partnership with OpenAI to integrate the social platform with the company’s chatbot and other AI products.
Back in February, Altman’s company concluded a share sale valued at $86 billion.
