OpenSea adds support for Avalanche NFTs

The NFT marketplace OpenSea has begun supporting the Avalanche blockchain, bringing the total number of networks it supports to seven.

OpenSea users can now trade Avalanche-based tokens. The platform will also gain access to the Chikn, TapTapKaboom, The Stoics, Castle Crush and Open Blox collections. The list is expected to grow in the near future.

Additionally, OpenSea plans to collaborate with Avalanche-based NFT platforms, including NFTrade, Joepegs and Kalao.

As of writing, OpenSea ranks second in trading volume among NFT marketplaces, with a figure of $6.23 million, according to DappRadar.

Back in September, OpenSea announced support for the second-layer scaling solution Arbitrum.

In April, developers announced the integration of the marketplace with the Immutable X protocol to speed up transactions and enable commission-free trading.
