Over 1,000 addresses created on Everscale blockchain-domain service

In the first three weeks of operation of the decentralized domain-name service Ever Name on the Everscale blockchain, more than 1,000 addresses were created, paying a total of around 300,000 EVER. This is stated in a post on the Everscale blog, on the blockchain that hosts the application.

The service allows creating arbitrary domains in the “.ever” zone. Each address is linked to an NFT, which can be stored in a wallet, transferred to other users, or sold on marketplaces. The domain can be used as a short, memorable address within the Everscale network. Over the next year, the Ever Name developers plan to implement a website-addressing feature.

\n\n

Registration in Ever Name must be paid with WEVER tokens (the wrapped EVER traded on the decentralized FlatQube exchange). A browser wallet EVER Wallet is required to make purchases.

\n\n

The maximum address length is 126 characters, which may include letters, digits, and hyphens. Longer names can be purchased for 20-45 WEVER ($0.7-1.6 at the time of writing). The minimum price for domains shorter than 12 characters ranges from 90 to 4000 WEVER:

\n\n

• 11 characters — 90 WEVER;
• 10 characters — 180 WEVER;
• 9 characters — 375 WEVER;
• 8 characters — 750 WEVER;
• 7 characters — 1500 WEVER;
• 6 characters — 1750 WEVER;
• 5 characters — 2000 WEVER;
• 4 characters — 4000 WEVER.

In addition, such addresses are subject to an auction mechanism: any user may initiate an auction within a week of its purchase by another user.

Additionally, the service’s developers, the Blockchain Family team, launched an alpha version of the NFT marketplace Tokstock. Its users can engage in secondary trading of the .ever blockchain domains, as well as monitor auctions and acquired addresses.

\n\n

Earlier in Everscale launched a hackathon with a prize fund of $43,000, and in Switzerland registered the Everscale Foundation.
