
Pantera Capital Bitcoin Fund grows to $134 million
Venture firm Pantera Capital increased the amount of capital raised for its flagship Bitcoin fund by $5 million, bringing the figure to $134 million. The data are contained in the filing with Form D for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Launched in 2013, the Pantera Bitcoin Fund became the first Bitcoin fund in the United States. From the start of the year through November 17, it has delivered investors a 142% return before fees.

According to the July report, the Pantera Bitcoin Fund’s seven-year return stood at more than 15,000%.
In August, the amount raised in Pantera Capital’s third venture fund reached $164.7 million. The vehicle was designed for investments in portfolio companies in sectors such as finance, payments, exchanges, private blockchain solutions, and infrastructure. The firm participated in a funding round for the cryptocurrency platform Bakkt.
In its latest letter, Pantera Capital said that PayPal and Cash App customers are removing from circulation all bitcoins mined by miners daily.
