Pavel Durov enters Forbes’ top ten richest Russian entrepreneurs

Telegram founder Pavel Durov has topped the list of the wealthiest businessmen in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the new рейтинге миллиардеров Forbes.

Durov’s fortune in 2021 was estimated at $17.2 billion, up by $13.8 billion over the year.

In Forbes’ global ranking, the Telegram founder is listed as a representative of the UAE and sits at 112th. Meanwhile, Durov has entered the list of Russia’s wealthiest businessmen in the Russian edition of the publication. There he ranks ninth.

In February, Forbes compiled a list of the wealthiest figures in the cryptocurrency industry based on 2020 results. It was led by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.
