Telegram founder Pavel Durov has been included for the first time in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI). He ranks 279th out of 500 with a net worth of $9.15 billion.
The Bloomberg list is topped by serial entrepreneur Elon Musk with $252 billion. U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump is near the bottom, at 499th place, with a fortune of $5.89 billion.
From the cryptocurrency sector, former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is listed with $38.8 billion (39th place) and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong with $9.78 billion (257th place).
Co-founder of Coinbase and Paradigm Fred Ehrsam, Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert, and Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who were part of the BBI in December 2023, are not mentioned in the current ranking.
In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Durov revealed that he keeps part of his savings in Bitcoin.
In early June, the value of 1 billion NOT, gifted to the Telegram founder, quadrupled from $6 million to $24 million.
