“Privy will remain an independent product – but now we’ll develop faster, release updates more frequently, and serve you even better,” project representatives emphasized.
Stripe is one of the largest and most highly capitalized fintech companies globally. Last year, it processed payments exceeding $1 trillion.
The number of Privy users exceeds 75 million. Launched three years ago, the project offers seamless wallet integration capabilities using account abstraction technology across various platforms and ecosystems.
Among the firm’s clients are: Hyperliquid, Blackbird, OpenSea, Toku, and Farcaster.
In March, the company raised $15 million following a funding round led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Paradigm, BlueYard, and Coinbase. The total investment exceeded $40 million.
Back in February, Stripe acquired the Bridge platform for $1.1 billion. Three months later, the payment giant introduced a new option for US dollar-pegged stablecoins.
