PayPal Expands Cryptocurrency Offerings with Solana and Chainlink

Payment giant PayPal has added support for the cryptocurrencies Solana and Chainlink for customers in the United States and related regions. This information appeared on the company’s frequently asked questions page.

Users can buy, sell, hold, and transfer these assets directly through the service.

Previously, customers could use PayPal as a payment method to purchase SOL or LINK on MoonPay, which acted as an intermediary.

The tokens have expanded the range of crypto payment options, which includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash.

At the time of writing, SOL and LINK are trading at $116.10 (-7.9%) and $12.77 (-5.7%) respectively, according to CoinGecko.

Back in February, journalists reported on PayPal’s plans to integrate the stablecoin PYUSD into more of its products for small and medium-sized businesses by the end of the year.
