The Web3 console was unveiled at the Solana Breakpoint conference in Singapore. The PSG1 supports Solana blockchain-based games and features a built-in hardware wallet.
Holders of the NFT, a non-fungible token issued on the Magic Eden marketplace, received a 48-hour priority window for pre-orders. The NFT is currently available for a minimum of 1.334 SOL (~$196 at the time of writing).
NFT holders will also gain access to exclusive updates and benefits within the Play Solana ecosystem, including participation in the SPL governance token distribution. Developers will announce further details later.
The shipping cost for the PSG1 will vary by region, but the team does not guarantee availability in every country.
“If shipping to your country is not possible, you will receive a full refund,” states the Play Solana website.
The PSG1 console is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2025.
Earlier, on September 19, the Solana Mobile team unveiled a new version of the Web3 smartphone called Solana Seeker (formerly Chapter 2). Pre-orders for the device exceeded 140,000 across 57 countries.
