Police detain attackers who raided the office of a bitcoin company in Novosibirsk

In Novosibirsk, a group of armed assailants robbed the office of a cryptocurrency storage and trading company, taking 5.2 million rubles. Local media сообщают со ссылкой на источник в правоохранительных органах.

According to the publication, the stolen funds belonged to a man from Saint Petersburg.

Subsequently, it emerged that some members of the group were detained. A criminal case for robbery has been opened.

“According to preliminary information, five men with pistols stormed the office. Police found two. One of them was in Novokuznetsk,” the source said.

Earlier, Moscow law enforcement authorities initiated a criminal case over the theft of nearly 15 million rubles during a bitcoin purchase.
