Polish bank holds first metaverse job fair

PKO Bank Polski organized the country’s first job fair in the virtual world.

Several participants had the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one interviews with the bank’s recruiters. Representatives of PKO Bank Polski said they are continually seeking new ways to engage with applicants.

In the future, the bank plans to expand its presence in decentralized metaverses, including Decentraland and The Sandbox, and to build VR models of its branches.

Poland’s leading mobile bank, PKO Bank Polski, serves nearly 12 million customers, including through its mobile app IKO, which has been downloaded 7.4 million times.

Back in December 2022, the asset-management firm Fidelity Investments filed an application to register three trademarks related to metaverses, NFTs, digital real estate and crypto trading.
