Poloniex launches World Cup Carnival with prize pool up to $100,000

The cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex announced the launch of the ‘Poloniex FIFA World Cup Carnival’.

The event comprises two activities with prize funds up to $50,000 each. The first — collecting fan-token badges — has already begun. Poloniex will announce the launch of the second promotion in early November.

Until 16:10 (UTC) on November 19, Poloniex users can earn fan-token badges for on-platform actions:

Each fan-token badge gives the user one point in the overall leaderboard. Ten different badges can be combined to yield an additional ten points.

Organizers award additional points to users who earned more than 100 badges. The number of points depends on the ranking:

The number of collected badges and the rank can be tracked on the event page.

The prize pool size depends on the number of participants:

The first activity will end on November 10, 2022. Poloniex will distribute prizes proportionally to earned points, but no more than $500 per user.

Poloniex is one of the oldest global crypto exchanges, developed by Tron founder Justin Sun. The platform does not require KYC and does not block accounts of users from Russia. The withdrawal limit for unverified users is $50,000 per day.

Earlier, Poloniex conducted a trading contest for traders from Eastern Europe, “Bitcoin Heroes: Operation Skyhook.”
