The cryptocurrency hedge fund Polychain Capital raised at least $19.5 million in investments from at least 28 investors over the past year. Total assets under management rose to $307 million, according to a report on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website.

The sum is allocated across digital assets and stakes in companies in the cryptocurrency industry. Some of the funds are held in fiat currencies. The total number of the firm’s investors, details of whom are not disclosed, has surpassed 300.

Earlier reports indicated that over four years of operation the fund delivered a capital return of 1,332.3% to its initial clients. In 2017, this figure reached 2,278.8%.

In 2019 the fund’s asset value fell by a third, down to $591.5 million.

At the end of July Polychain joined the rapidly growing decentralized finance sector, investing in the KeeperDAO startup.
