Public exposure of Trello data from thousands of Russian companies

Data from nearly a million Trello boards, including confidential information, has surfaced publicly. According to «Ъ», citing Infosecurity.

Analysts noted that data belonging to thousands of Russian companies had been exposed online. Boards store a range of information, including credentials for corporate accounts, passwords and scans of passports.

The breach occurred due to staff negligence rather than a hack, said Infosecurity head Kirill Solodovnikov.

Trello data had previously appeared in the open, but such a large-scale exposure is unprecedented, experts said.

As a reminder, in April, data more than 533 million Facebook users and 500 million LinkedIn users were put up for sale.
