Pussy Riot to auction four NFTs tied to new single Panic Attack

The controversial feminist-punk-rock group Pussy Riot has put four non-fungible tokens (NFTs) up for auction, based on their new single “Panic Attack”.

Proceeds from the sale will go to support victims of domestic violence and fund new projects by musicians.

In the video for this single, one of the Pussy Riot members is depicted as an avatar traveling through a virtual world, shifting from a dream world to something apocalyptic. In the finale she battles her clone.

To create the imagery AR artist Asad Jay Malik used footage shot of one of the members with 106 cameras.

\n

“Having spent two years in a penal labor colony, I still experience mental health issues. ‘Panic Attack’ grew out of a sense of 100% helplessness in the midst of the pandemic. A fight with oneself— a reference to the feeling of powerlessness in conditions of loneliness and detachment from the world”, — said the author of the single.

The auction will take place on March 13 on the Foundation platform.

In March, the American rock band Kings of Leon announced the release of their eighth studio album in NFT form.

Charlie Lee compared the popularity of non-fungible tokens with the ICO boom of 2017 and the altcoin craze of 2013. Previously he predicted the collapse of NFTs due to their \”zero cost to create\”.
