Pyth Network to airdrop PYTH tokens to 75,000 wallets

The oracles network, Pyth Network, unveiled a retrospective cross-chain airdrop of PYTH tokens.

Today marks the unveiling of the Pyth Network Retrospective Airdrop.

This airdrop is a cross-chain program for the dedicated community of the Pyth oracle ecosystem.

The airdrop will include 75,000 participants who interacted with more than 200 apps across 27 blockchains.

Among the supported Pyth Network ecosystems:

• Ethereum;
• Avalanche;
• Arbitrum;
• Base;
• Optimism;
• Polygon;
• zkSync;
• Aptos;
• Sui;
• Cosmos;
• Solana.

Community members with certain Discord roles and holders of official Pyth Network NFTs are also eligible to receive PYTH tokens.

“This is the largest cross-chain Web3 and DeFi airdrop program oriented toward use,” — said representatives of Pyth Network.

Social and on-chain activity snapshots have already been taken, but the date for when token eligibility opens has not yet been announced. Users can check their eligibility on the на специальном сайте.

6% of the total supply on the Solana blockchain (600 million PYTH) has been allocated for the airdrop, including:

• 100 million PYTH — to users of dapps;
• 200 million PYTH — to participants in DeFi apps;
• 10 million — to other community members.

The airdrop aims to incentivize on-chain governance and the move toward a permissionless, decentralized, and self-sustaining mainnet.

Earlier in September, the Optimism distributed 19.4 million OP tokens among 31,870 addresses.
