Pyth Network unveils Lazer oracle with 1-millisecond updates
Pyth Network has unveiled a new on-chain oracle, Lazer, capable of delivering market data with update times as low as 1 millisecond. The solution targets latency-sensitive applications such as high-frequency trading, derivatives and perpetual futures.

According to the developers, Pyth Lazer will minimise computational overhead while maximising performance. The service will operate across multiple blockchain environments, including EVM and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), with support for additional networks to follow.
The oracle supports up to 1,000 distinct price feeds and offers detailed information on them, including market depth and bid-ask spreads.
Users can configure their preferred update frequency as needed: 1 ms, 50 ms and 200 ms channels, as well as custom values.
To enhance accuracy and security, Pyth Lazer supports chain-interruption strategies and uses diversified data sources from third-party publishers, including leading exchanges, market makers and financial-service providers.
Earlier in January, Pyth Network signed an agreement with Revolut for the fintech company to provide “quotes and trading data” to the oracle network.
