The American company Universal Health Services (UHS), a Fortune 500-listed medical-services provider, has fallen victim to a ransomware attack. As reported by ZDNet.

Staff say some UHS hospitals have had to operate without computer systems.

Problems affected UHS medical centers in North Carolina and Texas. Reddit users also reported similar incidents in Arizona, Florida and California.

According to some reports, UHS systems were attacked by Ryuk. Official confirmation has not been obtained.

According to media reports, the creators of Ryuk moved more than $1 million in bitcoins via the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.
