American rapper Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, known by the stage name Logic, said he had purchased $6 million worth of bitcoin. A short video with the musician appeared on Instagram.
He said he invested the sizable sum last month. He did not disclose the exact date or other details.
User opinions about whether the artist really invested in cryptocurrency were divided: some praised the rapper, others questioned his sincerity.
If Logic invested on October 31 at a rate of $14,000, he would have acquired about 428 BTC for $6 million. Exactly one month ago, on October 20, the price of the first cryptocurrency was around $11,700 — the musician could have bought roughly 512 BTC.
Earlier, Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the TV series Game of Thrones, asked Twitter users whether she should open a long position on the first cryptocurrency.
As reported, more than 53% of poll participants answered negatively. However Williams said that she nonetheless ‘bought a little’ Bitcoin.
