
Rare CryptoPunk NFT Sold for 2,501 ETH
An unknown buyer purchased the non-fungible token (NFT) CryptoPunk #5577 for 2,501 ETH (more than $7.8 million). The deal стала third largest in the history of the collection.

Twitter users congratulated the purchase of CryptoPunk #5577 by Compound founder Robert Leshner.

Leshner himself has not directly confirmed the purchase of CryptoPunk #5577. There is no evidence of his involvement in the deal yet.

In 2017, the Larva Labs team launched the CryptoPunks collection of 10,000 NFT images, each 24 by 24 pixels. Initially, many of the project’s non-fungible tokens were distributed for free.
Earlier, Sotheby’s announced an auction of 104 CryptoPunks NFTs.
Earlier in December 2021, an unknown purchased the rare CryptoPunk #4156 for 2,500 ETH (~$10.26 million at the time of the deal).
