Red Bull Racing Honda releases debut NFT collection

The Red Bull Racing Honda Formula 1 team has released its first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in partnership with the Tezos blockchain platform.

The 10,000-item series is timed to the Mexican Grand Prix. The race weekend will take place from 5-7 November.

The tokens are digital replicas of the team’s Mexican driver’s car and racing suit, Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez. The design of the driver’s suit and helmet was created specifically for his home race.

The first NFT drop from Red Bull Racing Honda is available via the Sweet marketplace operating on the Tezos blockchain.

The team has announced further collections of unique digital assets in the near future.

“Innovation and technology have always been at the heart of Red Bull Racing Honda’s activities, including off the track. Our first release of digital collectibles will be followed by more, thanks to partners such as Tezos,” said Christian Horner, the team’s CEO.

In May 2021, Red Bull Racing Honda announced its partnership with Tezos for issuing NFTs.
