Revolut Achieves Record $1.4 Billion Profit Driven by Cryptocurrency

In 2024, fintech company Revolut reported a record pre-tax profit of £1.09 billion ($1.4 billion), marking a 149% increase.

A key driver was the growth in its wealth management division, which surged by 298% to reach $647 million. This figure includes revenues from digital asset operations, commodities, as well as trading and savings products.

This was partly facilitated by the launch of the standalone cryptocurrency platform Revolut X, which subsequently became accessible to residents of 30 European countries.

In July, the company secured a banking license from the FCA after a three-year application review period.

Revolut’s total revenue in 2024 soared by 72% to £3.1 billion ($4 billion). Its customer base expanded by 38% to 52.5 million.

User AUM grew by 66% to £30.2 billion ($38.8 billion). Transaction volume jumped by 52% to £1 billion ($1.28 trillion).

In August 2024, Revolut and Ledger agreed to integrate the Revolut Ramp purchase service into the Ledger Live application.

In January 2025, the Pyth Network project entered into an agreement with the company to provide quotes and trading data for its oracle network.

According to the Financial Times, Revolut is exploring the possibility of entering the stablecoin market.
