Ripple Secures $500 Million Investment at $40 Billion Valuation

Ripple secures $500 million investment at $40 billion valuation from major institutions.

The fintech company Ripple has announced securing strategic investments amounting to $500 million at a $40 billion valuation from major institutional players.

The investors include Citadel Securities, Fortress Investment Group, Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard, and Marshall Wace.

“The deal follows Ripple’s most successful year to date and a recent $1 billion tender offer at the same valuation, underscoring continued confidence in the project’s growth trajectory and long-term vision,” the press release stated.

The company also highlighted several other achievements:

  • payment system turnover exceeded $95 billion;
  • RLUSD capitalization surpassed $1 billion;
  • six strategic acquisitions over two years;
  • 25% of shares repurchased;
  • Ripple Prime business tripled;
  • 75 regulatory licenses obtained worldwide.

“We started in 2012 with one use case—payments—and expanded this success to custody, stablecoins, prime brokerage, and corporate treasury using digital assets like XRP,” said Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse.

The capital raised will help strengthen ties with traditional financial giants, the company believes, especially following the adoption of crypto-friendly laws such as the GENIUS Act.

Earlier in November, Ripple announced the acquisition of custodial solutions developer Palisade. The deal will enhance the firm’s digital asset storage service capabilities.

In October, the company announced the acquisition of treasury systems provider GTreasury for $1 billion.
