Online broker Robinhood has announced the introduction of trading for futures on Bitcoin, gold, oil, the S&P 500 index, and “much more.”

“Take a look into the future. Soon, Robinhood will offer futures trading with our new intuitive trading ladder,” the company stated.
According to information on the website, the online broker will offer its users:
- the lowest commissions compared to competitors;
- “nearly” round-the-clock access to derivatives markets;
- no restrictions under the rules for PDT;
- a special tax regime;
- education on the theoretical foundations of futures.
Robinhood continues its expansion into the crypto industry. Experts at Bernstein have named the online broker one of the most promising ideas in the centralized platform sector amid an anticipated wave of industry deregulation.
Back in June 2024, Robinhood’s management agreed to acquire the oldest European crypto exchange, Bitstamp, for $200 million.
