Rocket Pool adds zkSync Era support

Rocket Pool adds zkSync Era support

Developers of the liquid staking Rocket Pool rolled out the protocol on an L2 solution for scaling the Ethereum network called zkSync Era.

Rocket Pool is coming to @zksync Era!

You’ll soon be able to liquid stake your ETH on zkSync Era by simply holding rETH in your wallet. Just like on mainnet and other L2’s, $rETH will continue to accrue staking rewards automatically

Rocket Pool is already live on L2 networks Optimism and Arbitrum.

There are currently 58 protocols deployed on zkSync Era.

This is another step in the mission to lower barriers to participation in Proof-of-Stake. By holding the utility token in zkSync Era, users will continue to receive rewards […], as well as enjoy higher speed and lower transaction costs of the network,” — noted by the team.

On 24 March 2023, the Matter Lab team launched the zkSync alpha on the mainnet.

Rocket Pool’s share in the liquid staking segment is 7.72%. The project ranks third behind Lido (73.85%) and Coinbase (11.88%), according to DeFi Llama.

Earlier in April, zkSync Era support was added by 1inch Network.

In November 2022, the Matter Labs startup behind the L2 solution raised $50 million.
